Obituary of Robert T. Farrell

Farrell, Robert T. (Bob) passed on to eternal life on December 21, 2024. Bob was born in Brooklyn to Thomas F. & Edith Maginness October 14, 1934. He attended St. Agnes School in Carroll Gardens and Most Holy Trinity H.S. in Williamsburg (1952). Following 2 years of service in the U.S Army, he received a BBA from St John’s University (1960). He earned an MBA from LIU / C.W. Post (1967). Bob was a 27-year employee of Grumman Aerospace Corp. He retired as a Subcontract Manager after having worked on many projects, including most aircraft and the N.A.S.A. Lunar Module. Bob was a volunteer at the Cradle of Aviation Museum for 20 years. He was also involved with the Huntington Historical Society, the North Shore Civil War Roundtable, and the Sons of Union Veterans where he completed detailed historical research projects.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63-years Barbara (Carter) Farrell. His children Kathi Campbell (Stephen), Thomas (Ann Mary), and Christopher (Heather); grandchildren Christopher Campbell (Jennifer), Kellie Campbell, Emma Farrell, and Avery Farrell; great granddaughter Sophia Campbell. His sister Janet Fullum pre-deceased him.
Arrangements entrusted to M.A Connell Funeral Home, Huntington Sta. Visitation Dec. 26, 2 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm – 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Friday Dec. 27, 9:30 am at St Hugh of Lincoln R.C. Church. Interment at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury.
