Obituary of Nomi James Ottas

Nomi James Ottas passed away peacefully on 3/7/24. Husband to the late Sophia and father to the late James. Survived by his son John, daughter in-law Janet and grandchildren TJ and Alex, and nephew Ted. Healthy to the very end, he was living on his own until 99. He celebrated his 100th birthday on February 16th and received a letter of recognition from The White House, thanking him for his inspiring service in the US Army. He served his country honorably during World War II as a second lieutenant and was proud to be a veteran. After being discharged he attended Columbia University and graduated at the top of his class. His knowledgable mind and curious heart rang true to the last of his days, remembering stories from his younger years and excitably reciting greek history. He loved to listen to his classic greek music with a nice cigar and sipping Ouzo.
