Obituary of Albert A. Statton, III

Albert Arthur Statton III of Huntington, NY died on November 5h at he age of 72. Husband of Connie. Father of Albert IV, Aerin, Heather, Samantha and Aaron. Grandfather of 11.

Albert served in the United Staes Army as a medical specialist beginning in 1970 serving for the next 20 years at Fort Sam Houston, TX, Frankfurt, Germany, West Point, NY, Nuremburg, Germany and For Hamilton, NY. Albert retired from military service in June of 1990. Upon completion of miliary service, Albert wanted to continue service to his community and joined Greenlawn Fire Department in June of 1991. Albert served the community continuously for the next 32 years as a member of the department until his death. Albert was the Captain of the Rescue Squad on two separate occasions throughout his time with the department. Albert also had a love and care for veterans and while dealing with his own health issues started Operation Enduring Care to take care of veterans at the Northport VA. Abert was a life member of American Legion Post 1244 and his efforts with Operation Enduring Care will continue through their efforts.

Family will receive friends Sunday, November 12, 2-4 &7-9 at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, NY. Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park & Arboretum Farmingdale, NY on Monday November 13. Procession to leave M.A. Connell Funeral Home at 10:00.
