Obituary of Raymond Castro Baez

Raymond Castro Baez was born on November 7th, 1968 in Puerto Rico to Ramon Castro and Juanita Baez. The brother of Maria I Castro, Maria M Castro, Jackeline Nieves (Andres Nieves), Eddrie Castro, (Mayleen Santiago). Raymond was so fortunate to be loved by all of his many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. His family relocated to New York in 1993, it was at this time that he began his journey making a home and life for himself in the Bronx. His life’s passion was hairstyling, and his gift was capturing his love for someone by making them feel beautiful. Raymond immediately became friends with everyone he met and then transformed those friends into family, and there are countless people who are grateful to have had him their lives. He will be remembered for his style, his sunglasses, his heartfelt warmth, his infectious joy and his love for life. He will be missed dearly by his entire family, and his amor and life partner of 17 years, Louis Alessio.
