Dennis and I met as neighbors on East 61st Street, NYC in @1985 and stayed friends forever. We laughed, and exercised in the park, he told stories about his client, I told stories of my decorating clients. He played with my dog Bamse - they adored each other!! I sent him painting of Bamse after he moved to Florida which I know meant a lot to him because again we could laugh about the silly games they would play.
When life got hard for D. on the yachts, I would listen to his troubles and then try to give him advise on how to move on. He would say" That's what my Mom said!". Dennis adored his mother , whom I unfortunately never got to meet, and I think his life changed when he didn't have her strength to hold him up. But somehow he could gather himself together on to the next adventure and I know loved his most recent employment.
Weekly D and I would send photos back and forth of sunsets from his window and I sent photos from Central Park where he would have to guess the location. He always did! I will miss that connection we had. I will miss his big heart very very much.
Rest Easy Dennis.
Love - Marianne

Dennis and I were best friends growing up in Huntington. We had a lot of fun playing pranks on the teachers and nuns at Saint Patrick's. I hung out a lot with his sisters Maureen, Kelly, and brother John. Dennis would invite me to dinners, movies, and family outings, we always had a blast. Dennis got me a job at Camp St. Regis in the early 80's for two consecutive summers we were camp counselors together. Being responsible for those kids from the city and Queens made us the older brothers to these kids, always watching over them like our own kids. Those were two of the best summers I've had in my life. I have Dennis to thank for that great experience. I will always remember the happy and fun times with Dennis. Regardless of what was going on in my life, he always had me laughing by bringing up some crazy story from our past. Dennis will live on in my heart, mind, and soul. Love always, rest in peace my friend. Chris Sheerin

Dennis I will miss you so much! We spent many evenings together on Fire Island and the Main Land just cooking together, laughing and so forth side by side. You are in my heart as well as many others of your friends. I just wished you had found your way in a life that you felt was troublesome sometimes.
