Dear Caryn, Thank you for fifty years plus of friendship that started at a college in Oneonta, New York. You were unique, smart, funny, independent and introduced me to Joni Mitchell. You were my Chief Branch Manager at 6 World Trade Center. for many years. I have spoken of you to my children three of which at the time you met back then. I am forever grateful for your help when I needed information about the same thing you were dealing with for my daughter. You were one of kind and I still remember your laugh. May you rest in peace in heaven.

Dear Caryn, You were such an important part of our lives for 47 years, myself, Mary, Mark and Katie. We had our moments as all of us do, but we always got past them, which was a tribute to the strength of our friendship. You were someone who I could count on for listening to me and I appreciated your insights. I admired you in so many ways. Thank you for being such a great friend. Caryn, You will truly be missed. My first boss at Customs and my favorite. You always kept it real with me and taught me everything i needed to know, that i never will forget. I will always remember how you would get a hoot out of my middle name, my constant use of post-it notes and your incredible support when my mom was very ill. Rest in Peace, wonderful lady.

To My Dearest Caryn, I will love you forever and will miss you dearly. You were a true friend and will always be in my heart. Your compassion for all your friends and co-workers, and your dedication to your job and our great agency, U.S. Customs, where we worked so long and hard will always be remembered. I remember your great sense of humor and enthusiasm when we were Customs Liquidators together and those lovely cheesecakes from Eileen's that you would slip into the conference room every now and again. And even though you would never allow me to cut a pastry in half -- it's the whole thing or nothing buddy -- you were the best ever. I miss our phone calls and your visits to my place with the rest of the lunchtime crew. In my mind and heart, you will always be my Dear Shegundalah! Personal circumstances may not make it possible for me to be with you on Saturday, but I will toast your memory and your wonderful memory will remain with me forever.
