Obituary of Irene T. Spagna

Please share a memory of Irene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With great sadness we announce that Irene T. Spagna, age 88, of Ridge, NY, formerly of Huntington, NY, gained her angel wings on March 15, 2022. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. The eldest daughter of Raymond and Nora Hubbs, Irene married the love of her life, Leo, in 1953. She was the loving mother of Stacie McDonald (Joseph), Richard, Kathryn Siedlecki (Steven), and Kerri Lovetro (Anthony), as well as the adored grandmother of eleven grandchildren and great grandmother of six great grandchildren. Dear sister to Mary Fawcett, John Hubbs and the late Raymond Hubbs and Margie Morgan. Irene was so proud of her growing family and she was the happiest when they were all together. Family was her legacy, and any life she touched became part of her family. Before moving to Ridge, Irene was an active member of St. Patrick's RC Church in Huntington. She was a faithful Catholic for her entire life and she was devoted to her religion, as well as the people around her. Irene's family would like to give a special thanks to her care giver Marsha, for the dedication and care she gave to our mother. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all the lifes she touched. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in her name to Good Shepherd Hospice/Development Department, 110 Bi-County Blvd, Suite 114, Farmingdale, NY 11735, call (631)465-6350, or online at https://www.chsli.org/good-shepherd-hospice/donate.
