Avento, Salvatore D., 87, of Huntington Station, passed away on February 27th. Beloved husband of Louise Bates. Loving father of Maria Avento (Jimmy Burghardt), Sharol Signorelli (Steve), and Salvatore Avento Jr. (Susan). Adoring Step father of Donna Bates (David Saloman), Vicki Haber (Jerry), and Bill Bates (Rob). Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Chiara, and Luca Signorelli, and Jalin Avento. Devoted step grandfather of Kayla and Samantha Haber. A Proud Veteran of the United States Army, Salvatore will be loved and missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1st, at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Hugh's Church in Huntington Station, Wednesday March 2nd, at 9:30 AM.
