Obituary of Marie J Fasano

Please share a memory of Marie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marie Fasano passed away peacefully at Huntington Hospital with members of her family around her. She was born in Brooklyn NY and grew up on Long Island, living in Cambria Heights, as a child, and often spending time with her cousins in Queens and Nassau. Always an outgoing girl, she enjoyed being with her family, visiting on holidays, playing on the sidewalks, and going to Jones Beach. Marie started her career as a software programmer for Goldman Sachs. From there she moved to JP Morgan Chase, where as Vice President she held various roles managing business projects. Her understanding of the banking industry together with her academic degree in computer science and project management made her a valuable asset to her employers. Even though she received a negative medical diagnosis, she undertook a move from a larger home in Centerport to downsizing to a home in Huntington. She was undaunted by her medical challenges and lived every day with a zest for accomplishment. She had a passion for her two pet parrots and was an active member of the Long Island Parrot Society. Marie was predeceased by an older brother (Louis Fasano) and her parents (Charlie and Anna (nee Mattera) Fasano. She is survived by her sister-in-law and three nephews and will be missed by her loved cousins and dear friends.
