Judith Ann (Judy) Christmann (1939 – 2021) Judith Ann (Judy) Christmann, age 81, passed away on February 21, 2021 in Huntington, New York. Judy was born on March 25, 1939 in Rockville Centre, New York and was the loving daughter of the late Ava Marie (Ottman) Kennedy and William A. Kennedy. In 1959, she married George Edward (Bud) Christmann, Jr. (deceased 2011). She is survived by eight children: Linda Cummins and her husband, Kevin; George Christmann; William Christmann and his wife, Laura; Kathleen Lanza and her husband, Paul; Steven Christmann and his wife, Nicole; James Christmann and his wife, Kristina; Elizabeth Wilson; and John Christmann and his wife, Erin. She is survived by sixteen grandchildren: Mike and his wife, Jenny; Mark, Megan, Brian, Kristina, Samantha, Daniel, Jordan, Sophie, Emily, Andrew, Nicholas, Jack, Colton, Haddie, Connor and one great granddaughter, Makayla. She is also survived by her sister, Lynne Kennedy and her wife, Joan as well as many cousins and long-time friends. Judy adored animals of all kinds and is survived by many of her family’s pets – Cali, Rebel, Keira, Brownie, Chloe, Blizzard, Harley, and Christy and her own, Jack the Cat. She is reuniting with Bailey, Pixie, Ruffles and Misha. Judy attended Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York where she majored in art, a passion she kept throughout her life. She was very creative and made silk flower arrangements and all the decorations and favors for her children’s weddings. She loved going to arts and crafts shows, books and magazines, music from the 40’s and Broadway shows, hardware stores, fashion, and The New Yorker cartoons. She enjoyed, shopping, gardening, trimming bushes and trees, watching NCIS, the N.Y. Jets, the N.Y. Rangers and late-night TV, and feeding her backyard birds and other critters. Some of her other favorites were coffee, Rice Krispies, Baskin Robbins, milk chocolate, red wine, home baked goods, chocolate chip pancakes, steak and mashed potatoes. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed Paris, London, Washington, D.C. and Disney World. She truly adored going into New York City for Broadway shows, museums, the Greenwich Village Art Show and just walking the streets of the City. Judy always put the needs of others first and was very engaged and supportive of everyone’s activities and interests. She treasured each of her children and grandchildren as individuals. She was kind, compassionate and thoughtful to family, friends and strangers. She was an incredibly good sport and always had a cheerful disposition and was warmly welcoming and supportive of her extended family and friends. There were no strangers; she related to everyone. Judy will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched – the world is a better place for all that she brought to it.
