The Obituary
Sharon Evon Henderson was a well-known longtime resident of Huntington, New York. She went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2021, after she passed away of a brief illness.
Sharon Evon Henderson, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and friend was born on November 5,1950 in Huntington, New York, to the late Catherine and Joseph McDonald. She was 70 years old.
In the early 70’s she met and married the late Johnnie Henderson. They were married for several years until his death.
Sharon attended the Huntington Public School System and graduated from Huntington High School in 1969. Sharon enjoyed traveling the world, shopping with her little sister Evelyn and spending special time with her family and friends.
Sharon worked numerous jobs in which she enjoyed tremendously. She was employed by Verizon for 30 years and Huntington Hospital for 17 years and retired from both jobs. She then went on to work for We Transportation as a School Bus Driver for several years, because
of the love she had for children.
Sharon will be greatly missed and always loved by all.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, Two children; Anthony E. Henderson and Sherry V. Henderson; Five Grandchildren, Gerrard, Keith, Antoinette, Jahlia and Anthony Jr.; Three great grandchildren, Gevonne, Geziya and Gezikye; Two Siblings; Evelyn O. McDonald-Brown (Tony) and Joseph McDonald Jr., Brother- in-law; Eddie (Tony) Brown, Two nephews; Kumon and Tre Brown and One niece Shakia Brown and a host of other relatives and friends.
Sharon loved and cherished her family unconditionally.
