Obituary of Alfred E. Cousin

Alfred E. Cousin of Huntington Station, NY on September 7, 2020 at age 91. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Mark (Marie), Paula Soloway (Peter), and Laure Gallagher. Preceded in death by son Alan. Devoted grandfather of Shannon (Luke) and John (Lisa). Cherished great-grandfather of Jude, Brooke, Kate, Brayden, Reid, and Colton, as well as step-great-grandfather of Ashton. Dear brother of Carolyn Pannhorst and Kenneth. Visitation is Sunday 4-8 pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station. Burial is Monday at 10:30 am at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale. Al was born in Astoria, NY to Frederick and Carolina Cousin and grew up in Bellerose, NY. He served with the US Army from 1950-1952 and was stationed overseas in Korea from 1951-1952. He married his wife Jean in 1951 and moved to Huntington Station a few years later where he started his family. Al was tirelessly devoted to his profession as well as to his family. He had an accomplished career working for Equitable Life Insurance where he worked for almost 50 years, beginning as an agent but quickly going on to become a district sales manager for the company. Al will be missed by all of those who loved him.
