I share the sadness your family is feeling at the loss of this very special woman, yet I know that you must feel both joy
and gratitude that she was your mother and grandmother. No one, even in childhood, could match the zest for
life, the energy, and fearlessness Mary possessed. Among our circle of St. Gregory girls, you could always count
on this "spark plug'" to get everyone going. She never kept her opinions to herself; she was a born leader. No one
or nothing ever daunted her.
Her sense of fun, just like her Dad's, was contagious. Even the nuns and their rules and punishments never intimidated her.
But her other side was equally as strong. She was so empathetic and supportive, even her "constructive criticism" was
motivated by her honest desire to be your friend. No wonder Jim fell so hard for her!
Hail and farewell to an incredible and loving friend, educator, wife, mother and grandmother! How lucky we are that she was part of our lives.

She was such a lovely woman, obviously dedicated to the kids. She was one of my CCD teachers for five years. Marie and I watched the '69 Mets win the World Series while waiting for class to begin. I remember the two of us six year olds laughing hysterically at the grown ups pouring champagne on each others heads! I even got a kick out of Mrs. McDermott yelling at me for whatever reason at a HHS homecoming float party years later. I just wanted to say that she has a special place in my memories.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
RIP Mary - you are with Jim now on his birthday.

Mary was such a special person. She was so kind and funny and was always concerned about the well being of everyone around her. It was an honor to have known her and taken care of her for as long as I did. She always made me feel like family and I will really miss her. Anyone who knew Mary, knew she lit up any room she was in. I will miss spending time with you every week, Mary, Love you!

I feel lucky to have known Mary for the time I did. She was able to get a whole room of people laughing with her silly sense of humor, we loved her very much. She will definitely be dearly missed.
