Obituary of Kenneth T. Casey
Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kenneth T. Casey, 65, passed away in peace on Monday, November 11th, 2019 in Port Jefferson, NY. Kenneth was born on January 28, 1954 to Dorothy and John Casey in the Bronx, NY. He lived a fun and fulfilling life, taking on anything that came his way with no task to tall. However, in his final days he lost his battle to cancer.
He is survived by his two sisters Carole Knoth and Kathee Pennucci and his brother Kevin Casey; his son Ryan Casey and daughter Shannon Reilly; his two grandsons Owen and Sawyer and his granddaughter Lily; and his dog buddy-boy along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was the most simplistic complex man you could know. He enjoyed watching the N.Y. Yankees and the N.Y. Giants win championships, a morning Dunkin Donuts coffee, evening apertifs of a single sambuca shot with espresso, as well as vacationing in tropical islands. However, most of all, he enjoyed providing and taking care of loved ones to the best of his ability. He found the small things in life were not worth worrying about and carried that statement with him until his passing.
“I am prepared to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter.” - Winston Churchill
The cremation will take place at the family’s convenience with his ashes being spread along the Caribbean Sea surrounding the island of Anguilla. He always bragged he discovered the island before Jay-Z and Puff Daddy so it’s only right that he rests there.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 2pm until 4pm and 7pm until 9pm. There will also be a Memorial Service on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 8pm during the second visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home in Huntington, NY. Ken prided himself with being on time so don’t be late!
