I am so very sorry to hear about Trish’s passing. We were housemates at SUNY Cortland many years ago. I will always remember Trish’s kindness and her intelligence. The night after Patricia passed, Diane and I sat talking about our heartache and loss. I recalled a poem I heard at a funeral I recently attended. Diane had heard the poem before and loved it. It’s called “Death is Nothing at All” by Henry Scott-Holland. This poem brings us comfort because we do believe that Patricia is somewhere very near and our lives with her remain unchanged with absolute and unbroken continuity. As our pain lessens, her name will be the household word it always was. It gives us solace to know that in one brief moment all will be as it was and we will laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again. We miss you, Trish.
