BLACK, Annabelle Marie, of Huntington Station. Born February 28, 1917. Born to Eternal Life December 26, 2018. Devoted wife of the late Edwin F. Black. Beloved mother of Georganne M. Serico (Louis), Brendan T. Black, Edwin F. Black (Elizabeth), Annabelle M. Rufino (Charles), Gregory A. Black (Carolynn), Bronwyn M. Kelly (Daniel).Loving grandmother of Tara Serico Carmody (Matthew), Louis Serico, Christopher Serico, Patrick Black, Kieran Black, Bradyrose Black, Brendan F. Black, Annabelle Moseley Staudinger (Mark), Gabrielle Black, Maleah Black, Gregory C. Black, Bronwyn D. Kelly and great-grandmother of Thomas, Colin, JohnEdwin and Charles Andrew. Dear sister of William Brady, Joseph Brady (BettyAnn) and predeceased by her other 7 siblings. Annabelle was instrumental in founding, establishing and coordinating the Huntington Town Attorney’s Office. Because of her expertise, moral compass and primary devotion to the law, Annabelle worked as head administrator in the Town Attorney’s office for 25 years. She received the NY State Woman of Distinction Award for her life of civic and charitable giving of herself. Annabelle was first and foremost a devoted Catholic and active parishioner in St. Hugh of Lincoln R.C. Church since 1952 as Lector, Extraordinary Ministry of Holy Communion, Past President of the Rosary Society and founder & Spiritual Director of the Bereavement Ministry. When asked, Annabelle said her life’s greatest achievement is that her children walk with the Lord. The family will receive friends at M.A. Connell Funeral Home 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station on Friday, December 28th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection, Saturday, December 29th 9:30 am at St. Hugh of Lincoln R.C. Church Huntington Station.
