Bonnie Kay Edwards, 74, of Huntington Station, NY, formerly of Munnsville, NY, died peacefully in her sleep on November 29, 2018 at Hospice Inn in Melville, NY. Born May 27, 1944, in Munnsville, she is predeceased by her parents, Richard and Rosamond (Hollenbeck) Virgil of Munnsville, NY, and by her late husband, Ronald Edwards of Utica, NY.

Bonnie graduated Mohawk Valley Community College and then married and moved to Long Island to start a family.  She worked at Abraham and Strauss in the Walt Whitman Mall and then at Northrup Grumman as an Administrative Assistant until roughly 1995 and then as a homemaker afterwards. She was very musically inclined and played the piano, clarinet, and saxophone, loved crafting and decorating her home for all holidays and seasons.  She enjoyed spending time with close friends and family and was always ready with a smile and laugh for all who visited.  Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Survivors include her brother, Michael Virgil of Morris, NY, and his extended family, her two children, Christian Edwards of California and Michael Edwards of New Hampshire, six grandchildren, and her beloved Airedale companion: Maxine.

Visitors are welcome to join the family at her home to celebrate her life on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 12:00pm - 8:00 PM.  Her remains will be interred at her ancestral home at a later date. The family extends their greatest and warmest gratitude to all who helped care for her throughout her life and during her illness.
