Obituary of Kyung Sook Lee

Lee, Kyung Sook (Molly) PhD., 83 of Huntington, NY and Palm Beach Fl. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Chung Sik Lee. Devoted mother of Margaret MacLeod (Scott) and cherished grandmother of Jessica and Sean. “Unsinkable Molly” , aptly named by her College of Saint Rose classmates, was a pioneer in the 1950’s receiving a scholarship to journey from Korea to attend college in the US. She earned her BA from the College of Saint Rose and an MA and PhD in Economics from New York University. She went on to teach Economics at the New York University of Technology, becoming Chairman of the Department of Social Sciences, and the Dean of the Division of Humanities. Graceful, energetic, beautiful, and intelligent- Molly was determined at everything she did- professor, administrator, textbook author, mother, tennis player, golfer, skier, ballroom dancer, and world traveler.

Visitation Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station.  Service Saturday 12 noon at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
