Troise, Pasquale J. (Pat), 96, of Clearwater Florida, formerly of Huntington Station, on February 24, 2018. "Poppy" was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Angelina; parents Louise and James Troise; sister Eleanor Conforti, brother-in-law Mike Conforti, sister-in-law, Raphael Asaro, brother-in-law Frank Asaro, sister-in-law Phyllis Savinetti, brother-in-laws Frank Ellis and Jack Wareing. He is survived by his children, LuAnn Nelson and Patrick A. Troise, his daughter-in-law, Cynthia Troise; grandchildren Jennifer (Brian) Breen, Jessica (Andrew) Castka, Christopher Nelson, and James Troise; great-grandchildren Abby and Charlie Breen, Lily and Maddie Castka; sisters Marge Ellis and Joan Wareing; sister-in-law Loretta Savinetti, brother-in-law Louis Savinetti and many nieces, nephews and friends. Pat was a proud World War II veteran, having served in the Philippines and Japan for 40 months. He had a long career with Grumman Aircraft Corporation on Long Island, starting first in his late teens as a canoe maker before WWII and right after his military discharge, resuming work there until his retirement in 1977. He worked as a skilled technician in the metallurgy area, testing the metals and alloys that made up the parts of the airplanes, lunar modules and even buses that were made by Grumman. Poppy will be greatly missed and dearly remembered for all of the gatherings and occasions which he so enjoyed spending with his family and friends.
