Dear Family,
Many blame God for the pain they feel as a result of the loss they've experienced. The bible reveals at 1 John 5:19, " The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one", but take comfort in knowing that Jehovah God has promised to not only eradicate death, but comfort you through all your distress if you completely rely on him (John 5:28,29 and Isaiah 41:10).
Words cannot express the sorrow we feel when someone we love dies, but I offer this information as reassurance that this is not the end, you can see your loved one again. God has promised this at Acts 24:15. Remember, it is impossible for God to lie (Heb. 6:18), what he has promised will happen.
You may wonder, if God is Almighty, why would he allow Satan the devil to continue on this course? The bible answers this question, and I would like to proved the answer if you're interested.
In the meantime, please try to focus on the good memories and allow your family and friends to help you through this difficult time.
Warm regards,
Michelle

I am in a state of shock and grief after learning that dear, sweet Marylou has passed away. I met Marylou in our Watercolor Painting class about 6 years ago and very quickly became friends. She was loved by everyone. She was so kind, funny, good-hearted, compassionate, generous, and just a sweet, loving person. Marylou physically struggled to get to our class with her walker and oxygen, but her love of expressing her artistic talents in painting and beading gave her that extra strength to make it to her classes. She loved being with her friends and lit up the room with her personality.
I found out that Marylou died from one of our classmates who received a text from someone with no details on where her services would be held. We were all grief-struck with the news! I last saw Marylou when I visited with her at the Nursing & Rehab Center in Bellmore. She was doing so well and she was told that her cancer did not metastasize. We both were joyous to hear that wonderful news. Marylou had been filling her time recuperating from her hysterectomy by doing rehab and coloring beautiful pictures in an adult coloring book. She was very creative and exceptionally talented! She was in such a positive state.
After hearing the shocking news of Marylou's sudden passing, I phoned different funeral homes and churches in the area to see where Marylou’s services were held – but without any success. I finally thought to Google “funeral services for Marylou La Sala” and the link to the funeral home came up. By that time I found the information, Marylou’s wake and funeral service had ended. At least I know where Marylou is laid to rest and can pay my respects at her gravesite. Marylou’s will always be in my heart. I consider myself so fortunate to have had the pleasure to have met her, and to have shared in good times together. I know Marylou is in a good place, out of pain, and meeting up with family and friends who have passed over before her. God bless you, Marylou – until we meet again… With Much Love and Affection, Patti Mattone

Elisa, Mohamed, John and all of the Salerno Family,
It is with heavy heart that I send this condolence. I know that Marylou was such a great part of the family. My memories of dinners together at your table will remain steadfast in my mind, and serve as a measure of my own family being together. The great and unreserved love Marylou showed to everyone is a life lesson in compassion, caring and generosity. She will be sorely missed by many, but her memory will live long after these services. Take with you the very best of Marylou and hold it high for all to see. Like a beacon of light from a lighthouse, her love will live on and show others how to avoid the rocky shores that life is full of.
I regret not being able to make the services and to share with you my fond memories of one so close to yours and my heart. I look forward to breaking bread with you all once again, as we did when Marylou was with us.
