I'm so sorry for the great loss of your dear Don. Words cannot express the pain we feel when we lose those we love. Please take comfort in knowing that God Almighty Jehovah, has promised to not only resurrect your loved one, but comfort you through all your distress, if you rely completely on him (John 5:28,29 & Isaiah 41:10). Try to focus on the good memories and allow your family and friends to help you through this difficult time. Remember, it is impossible for God to lie (Heb. 6:18), what he has promised will happen. What is there to say that I haven't already said about this man, this friend to so many. A stand up guy who was behind you 110%. If he said he had your back he meant it. A patient friend believe me I know. I tested his patience, more than once. Always willing to help, always. A break down. No problem he was there. It saddens me that I, we lost such a great friend. Funny and kind. I am so sorry for you MaryEllen, Bobby, Patrick and Jeremy to have lost you husband, father he was too young. This is the guy who wouldn't die young he was strong and tough but he did go too young. You will miss him more than anyone and life as you know it will never be the same and for that I am so sorry. It sounds like a cliche to say he will always be there in your heart and in your memory but he will be, as he will be for all of us who loved him. The next few days, weeks even months are going to be tough in those times know he is looking over you he is a presence that will always be My sympathy, condolences, prayers and love are all I can offer you. I am sorry I could not make it to NY to say goodbye to my wonderful long time friend Take care, give yourselves time. You will heal though you will never forget. But you don't want to forget. I have known Don since I met and became a good friend of his brother John some 44 - 45 years ago. He was a good man for sure. I have always known him to be helpful beyond what most people would do. He was a kind man although sometimes not, but always left an Impression. He was an extremely hard worker and never thought twice about helping a friend out. I think all those traits run in his family. I truly feel he has found peace and is free of the pain he went through. He will be there for you when you call. You won't see or hear him but if you listen with your heart you will hear all of his love around you soft and clear. Grieve awhile but let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for awhile we all must part, so bless the memories within your heart. So Don soar with the Angels and we all will see you again one day. That I truly believe. Rest in Peace my friend. My heart goes out to your entire family as I know you will be missed
