Dear family,
Some have asked why, why would God allow death and this pain we feel as a result to continue, but the bible answers these questions and offers comfort for the future.
In the bible at 1 John 5:19, it says, "The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one", but please take comfort in knowing that Jehovah God has promised to not only eradicate death, but comfort you through all your distress if you completely rely on him (John 5:28,29 & Isaiah 41:10).
Words cannot express the sorrow we feel when someone we love dies, but I offer this information as reassurance that this is not the end, you can see your loved one again.Remember, it is impossible for God to lie (Heb. 6:18), what he has promised will happen.
You may wonder though, if God is almighty, why would he allow Satan the Devil to continue on this course..... The bible answers this question also. If your interested in learning more, please feel free to contact me.
In the mean time, please try to focus on the good memories and allow your family and friends to help you through this difficult time.
Warm regards,
Michelle

May you sing and dance in the heavens above us . Your beautiful pictures and voice filled the room last night .. that is how I will remember you Leah. " Thunder only happens when it rains" and you will always come to mind when I hear that song.

This is just another example of life not being fair. People say I'm sorry for your loss but in reality it's more like theft. It feels like you have been robbed of something or someone so precious has been taken. Words are inadequate for what I'm feeling and wanting to express to you. I ask myself over and over "why" why does he take the best ones? Why does a mother and father have to bury their own child? Uncle Kaz and Aunt Christa, I wish you never had to experience this pain! It's hard to even imagine a world without them, isn't it? I wish I could have met her. She's beautiful, smart, strong, she's a Hafezi, strong is in our blood Uncle! I pray for you to have the strength. Look for the bird chirping, look for the butterflies flying around you, look up at the clouds. Looking for signs is what helped me when I lost My Angel Devin. Our beautiful Angels are together now, looking down on us. I wish I could be at the funeral, I'm so sorry. Uncle and Crista I love you both so much ! I'm so so sorry :( my heart hurts, I'm sorry you have to feel this awful pain.

And so it was,
that she,
having waited long
and endured -
realized and obtained
what God had promised...
Hebrews 6:15
Those we love can never be more than a thought away...
for as long as there’s a memory
They live in our hearts to stay.
God hold you in His loving arms, dear one, for your battle was fought
with bravery. You have given the world so much by your presence here.
Leah's memory is a blessing to everyone who knew her.

Leah, my precious warrior,
I am so proud to have had the honor of being your Dad. Watching your daily battle against this ugly Leukemia for the last 7 months was incredibly painful, yet you were the one who gave me the strength to go on, to hope and to believe, while enduring all the pain and everything they threw at you, and never giving up. At the end you did kick the Leukemia's butt, it was that nasty septic shock that crept up on you without being detected even by all the blood they drew out of you all day and nights.
You inspired me in so many ways. You taught me to honor my heritage, you were so much more Persian than I was, you made me join you to protest on the United for Iran Day on the streets of New York and kept me up to date with the happenings in Iran and around the world. Your thunderous energy and tireless struggle, for justice was ever present in everything you. Whether it was for Palestine, Gaza, Back Lives, LGBT or any other struggle, you were always there up front and center.
I miss playing backgammon, cards and watching Jeopardy with you every night. I am not sure what to do anymore. Watching Zoozoo is my only job right now. I pray that God give us a fraction of your courage and strength to get through these days. I take solace that you are no longer in pain and am sure that Mamani is showing you around and giving you a real taste of Persia. I love you to my last breath, till we meet again, rest in power my dearest Tiger bunch!

I am so happy you are at peace, Leah. Your strength over the past seven months was amazing. You never gave up and now you have become an angel for your family to help them as they move forward remembering the wonderful times you had together until you meet again. I have watched you grow since Kindergarten and had the privledge of teaching you to dance and act and watched as you grew into the person you became. The strength you showed in dancing is what set you apart from others. You will be missed by many. Miss Lorraine

Leah,
Each time you graced the stage your passion for dance inspired others to work hard and love performing. The dedication and passion you exhibited on or off stage will forever live on through those of us fortunate to have known and loved you.
“Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.” Martha Graham

My sorrow today is not only for having lost you so young; my sadness is not only for seeing your family members in such incredible pain for losing you to a place we know nothing about. My sorrow is also for the world and its people that will not be fortunate to have a chance to know you.
You were our little black fish of Behrangi; our Little Prince of de Saint-Exupéry ; and you were the most unexpected revolutionary in the family, for that larger than life spirit could not be detected in that tiny body of yours.
You came to our life and touched our heart with your voice, your talkative eyes, and your uncompromising state of war against all that felt unjust.
But you were also my little niece; who looked more Persian than I did; more of a bookworm than I was, and more of life that any naked eye could see. I will remember you, always.

To My Baby #3,
You were one of the brightest lights in my life. Although I cannot see you physically anymore and your earthy flame has been extinguished know that as I light this candle tonight for you your light will shine on forever in my heart.
There is a bright new star in the sky tonight.
I Love You so much,
Mom
