We came to know of Louis' death only yesterday, perhaps because we were traveling abroad in late October and early November. We have lived across their home for about 11 years. Although we did not get an opportunity to become intimate, we always appreciated his broad smiles and friendly demeanor whenever our paths crossed. We watched with admiration the closeness of the family in everyday things that they did. He would spend numerous hours each week tending his beautiful garden. As the children grew and started playing outdoors, he would keep watch over them,his pride in them shining in his happy visage. We hope the surviving family will find enough strength in his memory to keep going on as he must have envisaged. We are so sad. Lou was always so happy, smiling at the end of the day when daycare was over. All us moms rushing to get home, he would let the kids run around and play. Another angel gets their wings. ❤️
