SIKORSKI BERKEMOSE, ROSALEEN, 91, passed away September 9th, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio. Beloved mother of Joann Watterson (Kerry) of Shaker Heights, OH. , Josh Stevens (Laura Ray) of Cleveland, OH. and Maura Sikorski of North Olmsted, OH. Granny T to her granddaughter Olivia (Toni) Watterson. Dearest Aunt of Irene, Ray, Tom, Art, Jimmy, Colette, Frankie and many more. Dearest friend of Linda McClean, Lorna, Deidre, Frank, Hank, Ann, Kathleen, Mary and many many more. Survived also by her dear sister Joan Jones (England), Joe Toner (Ireland) and Sana Denanas (Canada). Loving wife of Ed Sikorski (deceased) and Paul Berkemose (deceased). A beautiful woman inside and out, who always looked far younger than her years, Rosaleen was a wonderful friend to many who will never forget her great and infectious laugh, her youthful spirit, her caring ways, and her great sense of fun and fashion – she always dressed beautifully and loved to shop at Macys. She could find the prettiest things and the best bargains. She had an eye for color and design and loved to paint in her day. And with her bright and open personality, she made friends easily wherever she went. Born in County Down, Northern Ireland, one of ten children who lost their mother at an early age. Trained as a nurse in England and came to Brooklyn, New York in the late 1940s where she continued her nursing career and met and fell in love with Ed. They raised 3 children in Queens and Long Island, including daughter Maura, a special needs child, for whom Rosaleen was always a devoted, selfless, loving and tireless advocate. After the passing of Ed and her later husband Paul, Rosaleen and Maura moved to Ohio in 2009. She continued to laugh, help others and spread joy. She will be missed forever.
