Baker, Cassius D. “Cass”, of Huntington, on Saturday, December 12, 2015. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Regan) of 52 years. Loving father of Jennifer Bianchi and Jeffrey Baker (Sue). Proud grandfather of Nicole, Brad, Ava and Andre. Retired as a Social Studies teacher from the East Meadow and Rockville Centre Public School Districts. His many interests included American History, model railroading, antique guns, traveling USA and Europe and driving his 1928 Model A Ford and 1949 Ford Convertible to car shows and Huntington parades. He co-founded the North Shore Civil War Roundtable and was a tour leader for several Civil War battlefield tours. United States Army Veteran , he was also a member of the Mayflower Society, Sons of the American Revolution , American Legion Post #360 and the North Shore Civil War Roundtable. Visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church, Huntington on Wednesday at 9:45 AM. Interment to follow at Huntington Rural Cemetery, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to: VNS & Hospice of Suffolk, Inc. at 505 Main Street, Northport NY, 11768 or Northport VA Medical Center Voluntary Service, 79 Middleville Road, Northport, NY 11768.
