Obituary of Judith A. Gibbons

Gibbons, Judith A., (nee Finn) age 70, of Huntington Station , passed on December 9, 2015 with her loving family at her side. Beloved wife of John. Devoted mother of Jim, Kevin and Jane. Cherished grandma/grammy of Meaghan (15), Courtney (13), Mikayla (12), Morgan (9), Declan (9), Connor (6), Rory (6), Finn (4), and Kate (15 mos.) Loving mother-in-law to Tara, Selina and Gerry, as well as sister-in-law to Mike, Louise, Jerry, Marena, Will, Sylvia, Jeffrey & Madeline. Predeceased by her dear mom and dad, Jayne and Patrick Finn, Jr. and her brother Patrick Finn III. Born in New York City on October 18, 1945 and grew up in Elmhurst, Queens and Manhasset, NY. She graduated from St. Vincent’s Hospital Nursing School, NYC and worked as a caring nurse for almost 40 years starting at North Shore Hospital in 1966. Judy loved family time, playing tennis, golf, bridge, dancing and participating in her prayer group. She is an amazing and treasured wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who exuded love, faith and a fun loving spirit. Visitation Saturday & Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Mass Monday 10 AM at St. Hugh of Lincoln RC Church, Huntington Station. Interment to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Huntington.
