Obituary of James J. Correll
Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
We lost a great man on Sunday.
James Correll passed away in his sleep, at his home, on June 21st, 2015, at the age of 56, from a sudden heart attack.
James is survived by his loving wife, Ellen; sons, Jonathan and Steven; sister, JoAnne; brothers, Rickie, Eddie, and Billy; his father, Richard; Mother-in-law, Kay; and many nieces and nephews.
James was born on March 20th, 1959 in Long Island City, New York. He spent the first half of his childhood living in Astoria, Queens, before moving out to Huntington, Long Island, where he decided to stay and raise a family.
Jimmy, as he was commonly known, was a great man. He loved his family and his friends and did everything possible to provide for them as best he could. Jimmy was a giver; he gave and gave and gave some more. He gave everything to his family so that they could live a great life. He gave everything to his friends so that they wouldn’t have to worry about things. From covering for people at work, to helping redo a kitchen or bathroom, Jimmy was always there to help.
While Jimmy had never been much of a talker it was his actions that spoke volumes for him. Everyone that knew him knew how great of a guy he was. Everyone that heard about him heard about how great a guy he was. He was taken from this world too soon, and the world is worse off for him being gone.
On behalf of the Correll family, they would like to thank everyone who has come out and given their support and shown their love for Jimmy. It really means the world to them.
