Obituary of Mary Agnes Powell

Mary "Mae" Powell POWELL - Mary "Mae", died Tuesday June 23rd after 141 days of excellent care at Huntington Hospital. She was 9 days shy of her 95th birthday. Born Mary Agnes Danaher, July 2, 1914 to Irish Immigrants. The first born of 12 brothers and sisters. She drove until she was 93 and still handled her own financial affairs. A captain in the Rosary Society; beloved friend at the 8:00am daily Mass at St. Hugh of Lincoln Church. She leaves behind her son Tom and follows her husband Joseph and son Gene to her eternal reward. Visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station, Thursday 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass, Friday, at Saint Hugh of Lincoln Church at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Red Cloud Indian School, 100 Mission Drive, Pine Ridge, S.D. 57770.
