Peer, Richard A. of Huntington Bay, NY, passed on February 14, 2015 surrounded by his family he adored so much. Born in East Orange, NJ. he moved to Huntington in 1970. A long-time E.F. Hutton & Co. stockbroker, Branch Manager for their Garden City office for 17 years. A graduate of Villanova University (1956), he served as an officer in US Navy. Founding member Friendly Sons of St. Patrick on Long Island. Beloved husband of Carole (Elliott) for 57 years, loving father of Stephen (Marybeth), Catherine (Richard Jasionowski), Michael (Tracey), William (Christine), John (Marisa), Thomas (Dawn), Megan (Keith Evangelist). Grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 1. In addition, Richard is survived by his brother Norman J. Peer of Red Bank, NJ and sister, Margaret Schilling of Woodland Park, CO. Reposing M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave, Huntington Sta, NY. Visitation Thurs 2-4, 7-9 PM, Mass of Christian Burial, Friday 9:45 AM at St Patrick's Church, Huntington.
