Obituary of William Horace T. Moore

MOORE - William Horace Tyson, 95, former aeronautical engineer and longtime member of Old First Church in Huntington, passed away suddenly on October 29, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, he and his wife resided in Merrick, NY for many years before moves to Savannah, Georgia and Halesite, New York. His last years were spent at Carillon Nursing Home where he was well known and cared for lovingly by all the staff. Horace attended Brooklyn Polytech and was an engineer at Grumman Aerospace for many years. Horace is predeceased by his loving wife, Isabelle Julia Moore and is survived by his children, Stuart P. Moore, Keith M. Moore and his wife Virginia "Ginny", Meredith L. Harmon and her husband, Dan, six grandchildren and seven great grandsons, who were his pride and joy. Visitation Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station. Funeral Service Saturday 8 PM at the funeral Home. Interment will be private.
