Obituary of Jean Citterbart

Jean CITTERBART CITTERBART - Jean, age 83, passed away on January 14, 2014 at Hospice House in East Northport. She was born in Whitestone, New York on July 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Eadie Evers. She married William Citterbart Jr. on October 21, 1951 and resided in Bayside, New York until moving to Melville in 1964 where they have lived since. Jean was a long time member of the Huntington Country Club where she was an avid golfer and bridge player. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Henry and Robert, and two sisters, Mary Willis and Doris Pelton. Jean is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Bill, her daughter Jo-Ann and her husband Nicholas Rakovic of East Setauket, her son William III and his wife Barbara of Cold Spring Harbor, her granddaughters Bonnie and her husband Andrew Lieu of Pennington, New Jersey and Kerri and her husband Eric Martin of South Bend, Indiana and her great-granddaughter Saantha Lieu, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 16, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday, January 17, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station. Funeral Service Saturday, 10:00 am at United Methodist Church Huntington-Cold Spring Harbor, 180 West Neck Road, Huntington. Interment at Melville Cemetery, 490 Sweet Hollow Rd., Melville immediately following.
