Accardi, John J., 87, of Huntington, NY, on July 31, 2013. A Proud WWII Army Veteran who received the Purple Heart, being wounded during the Battle of the Bulge. Beloved husband of Bernice for 63 years, Loving father of Maryanne Cronin (Michael) and Andrew. Adoring grandfather of Michael, Jillian (Michael) Chiarenza and Daniel. Visitation at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Ave., Huntington Station on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass will be held Monday, 9:45AM at St. Patrick's Church in Huntington. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project , in his memory.
