Hey John, thanks so much for your leadership, professionalism & friendship. You saw things in me I did not know were there. You gave me a shot when I could have easily been passed over. Your optimism was infectious. A rare breed of gentleman, you were. RIP!

John, in most people’s lives there is a very short list of people you know you could call at any time for help and they would gladly provide it. The only question being, “What can I do?”. You were one of those people for me, and, I think, the entire Kane extended family.
We didn’t always agree, but I always knew you were on my side.
I hope you knew that.

John was a man of no nonsense. He was a man that spoke his mind and was the most kindest of heart to all he cared for. There wasn’t a moment he had the word “no” to anyone he considered a friend. He was a true friend.
I miss you dear friend. Officer mason says hello. (Quiet joke). My sincere sadness for all that knew you. A huge legacy lost. Love to you Joan, Colleen and Kelly.

I worked with John at several Allstate locations throughout my career. He was always a steady and knowledgeable partner. We shared moments of military reserve service changing at Midwood as we headed off to our respective units. I enjoyed working with him and sharing our thoughts for 30 + years. A very good man. God Bless him and his family. Terry Holliday

I worked for snd with John for many years. He was funny but tough. He was a neat freak. When he came to the Midwood/Ryder office we had no hot water and boxes covering raised electric connections all over the floor. Within one week, hot water was back & the floor problem was addressed and remedied!
We were just texting about getting together for dinner. We plan, G_d laughs. I will miss him.

Hey John, I can’t believe I’m writing this. I can’t believe that you left before me. We’ve been friends for over 40 years and there hasn’t been a year that I haven’t spoken to you or texted you or you sent me emails on Allstate and I’m sure you’ll remember the time that we were upstate, inspecting cars. The luncheon’s at the Bonwit were great seeing all the retirees. You’re a great boss and a better friend and I will miss you. I’ll see you on the other side brother!

Thank you John for the leadership you exposed to me and others at LaSalle Military Academy. Your guidance to us as freshman (plebes) instilled the strength to continue as leaders. Rest In Peace and know the long line of grey stands with you.
